New hair! silver & blue

Hey all! Last month was super busy, but I had a lot of time last week to do my hair. I've been a huge fan of Shima Harajuku Leap salon for a while now, and since I won't be able to make a trip to Tokyo any time soon, I decided to try to pull off this look by myself.

Before I say anything else, though, I just want to let you know that I'm not a hairstylist and I did not go to beauty school, so please be careful with your hair! I personally have been dyeing my hair since middle school and know that my hair is thick and can handle a lot, but if you've never dyed your hair before, please get it done professionally.

The first thing I had to do was strip out the pink in my hair and bleach it to a very pale yellow. I forgot to take a photo before, but you can see what my hair looked like in the photo on the left. Basically, I used bleach w/ 30 volume developer on my root area and bleach baths to strip out the pink and even out the color overall. I have a lot of hair, so I did it in two parts (top and bottom), and it took me about a week to get it right. If you do this, space out the bleaching more! My hair ended up pretty dry, and I'm gonna try using olaplex to fix it. Anyway, the result is the photo on the right.
(the dye i used on the left is punky colour in flamingo pink by the way!)
After that, I used Pravana ChromaSilk Vivids in Silver mixed with conditioner to get a medium silver color. Straight out of the tube, the dye really dark, so you need to dilute it to get a softer color. I mixed about 1.5 cups of conditioner with half a tube of dye for my color. After applying everything using a brush, I wrapped my hair in a plastic bag and left the color overnight.

The next day, I washed out the dye and when it was dry, I added Punky Colour in Turquoise mixed in a 2:3 ratio with conditioner to just the tips of my hair, minus my bangs. Punky Colour is a really strong dye and I really recommend it -- I left the color in for about 10 minutes before washing it out, and applied the dye in layers. The result?

I really love this look and I'm so glad it turned out well! I might try a new silver dye next time, so if y'all have any recommendations, let me know!
